Reliance Jio and Google team have co-developed JioPhone Next. It is powered by an optimised version of Android especially for Indian market.
It will be available from September 10 this year. This smartphone will be affordable for not just India and an affordable phone the world has seen, stated Reliance Industries (RIL), chairman, Mukesh Ambani, during the 44th annual general meeting (AGM) virtually on June 24.
JioPhone Next will offer language and translation features. It’s built for India and it will open new possibilities for millions of new users. We are taking our collaboration further with a new 5G partnership between Google Cloud & Jio, stated CEO, Alphabet Inc. Sundar Pichai.
The phone will feature voice assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, smart camera with augmented reality filter.
