New Delhi: The 20th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be released soon. Farmers who have been waiting for more than four months may finally receive their Rs 2,000 in July. As per updates, the exact date of transfer may be announced in the second week of July 2025.

Why Is There a Delay in the Payment?

The 19th installment was transferred in February 2025. Based on the 4-month gap, the 20th should have arrived in June. But due to several reasons, including government priorities, international matters, and pending verifications, the release was delayed.

One major reason is that the government had made eKYC and Aadhaar-bank linking mandatory. Many farmers had not completed these steps, so the government gave extra time to ensure every eligible farmer receives the money in this round, and no one is left out.

How Much More to Wait?

Sources say that the date for the 20th installment could be announced anytime after July 14, 2025. Currently, the Prime Minister is on a 5-nation tour and is expected to return by July 9. Once he is back, the transfer date may be finalised.

So while the 20th installment is almost confirmed for July, the exact date will likely be revealed after July 13. As of now, there is no official confirmation from the government.

8 Important Things Farmers Must Do Before the Installment

To receive the Rs 2,000 payment without issues, farmers should complete these tasks:

e-KYC: Must be completed to get the next installment.

Aadhaar-linked Bank Account: Money will only go to Aadhaar-linked accounts.

Correct Name: Name must match across bank, Aadhaar, and PM Kisan portal.

Land Record Verification: State-approved land records are mandatory.

Correct Mobile, Address, and Account Number: No mistakes should be there.

Active Bank Account: Make sure your account is not inactive or closed.

Avoid Duplicate Entry: Don’t register twice—this will block your payment.

Aadhaar Info Should Match: Name, gender, and DOB must be accurate.

Note: Make sure to complete all corrections and updates as soon as possible to avoid any delays in receiving the 20th PM Kisan installment.
