Many have now criticised SN Subrahmanyan for his remarks. Now, the anger or despondency over the remark is also being directed at his wife, Meena Subrahmanyan.
This comes to pass, as the conglomerate's chairman, in his controversial comments, also sardonically enquired as to how long his employees were going to look at their wives when they are home on Sunday. Reacting to its comment, many have now invoked SN Subrahmanyan's wife into the conversation.

Who is Meena Subrahmanyan?
It is to be noted that Tirumathi Meena Subrahmanyan is the president of PRAYAS TRUST. Prayas Trust functions as a non-profit organization dedicated to social welfare, receiving nurturing and financial support from L&T's management. The trust was established in 1996.
Meena Subrahmanyan is also a member of the biotechnology industrial advisory board at North Eastern University and serves as the Vice Chair of the Biotech section of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
