Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra closed FY26 with strong momentum, driven by record SUV volumes and robust tractor demand, highlighting resilience across both urban and rural markets.

Mahindra reported total vehicle sales of 99,969 units in March 2026, up 21 percent year-on-year. SUV sales stood at 60,272 units in the domestic market, growing 25 percent, while commercial vehicle sales reached 24,928 units, up 11 percent, reflecting strong demand across key segments.

The company posted its highest-ever annual SUV sales of 6,60,276 units in FY26, registering 20 percent growth, as detailed on page 2. Light commercial vehicle sales also rose to 2,89,597 units, up 13 percent, underlining consistent expansion across its automotive portfolio.

Mahindra’s farm equipment business sold 43,403 tractors domestically in March 2026, a 33 percent increase from last year, as highlighted on page 4. Annual domestic tractor sales reached a record 5,05,930 units, growing 24 percent, supported by seasonal demand and favorable rural conditions.

The trucks and buses business recorded sales of 4,267 vehicles in March 2026, marking a 13 percent increase. Management indicated that despite global challenges like fuel price volatility, demand remains supported by replacement cycles and infrastructure-led growth, sustaining momentum in the commercial vehicle segment. Mahindra’s FY26 performance highlights strong execution across segments, positioning the company to sustain growth amid evolving market conditions and demand cycles.
