A visibly moved Ram Naik said he cherished the life time achievement award given by Navshakti as the newspaper truly represents peoples’ power. He also narrated several instances during the long association he has with the FPJ-Navshakti group. Naik proudly mentioned that he probably would be the only politician who never had to retract his statement or had to clarify that the media has twisted what he had said. He reflected on the transparency that the peoples’ representatives and the media should practice in their day to day conduct.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis described Ram Naik as inspiration for political workers. Fadnavis also praised him for the transparency that he has shown in over 50 years of his public life and said that all people’s representatives should follow his example. Naik championed the parliamentary tools very fast and also helped hundreds of peoples’ representatives across party lines to master them. He has also put forth an ideal of how can one be active in public life even after retiring from the electoral politics, said Fadnavis.
