Riva Arora's mother Nisha Arora has reacted to criticism over her daughter starring in romantic videos despite being a child.
For those unversed, for the last few days, Riva has been in news after a section of media criticised her for starring in romantic and glamorous videos. Several users also claimed that she is only 12 years old.
Taking to her Instagram story, Nisha clarified that the allegations of Riva's age are 'completely false'.
"I was calm, but not anymore. The allegations on my daughter's age are completely false and it's a saying that false news travels faster then ever and many reputed social media channel proved it. It is sad to see and disheartening for me. Atleast you should have cross checked with me before upload on reputed pages. My daughter is an actor and working in industry since years," she wrote.
Riva also re-shared her mother's story.
In an interview with India Forums, her mother said, "It’s unfortunate to see renowned publications are spreading false information about a young girl without any verifications. My daughter is currently in the 10th grade. She has been working in the industry for more than 13 years and has achieved everything with utmost integrity and perseverance."
For those unversed, after slamming actor Karan Kundrra, netizens also questioned Riva's parents for her collaboration with singer Mika Singh.
Riva's video with Mika is doing the rounds on the internet and it has left netizens disappointed. In the video, the two can be seen dancing romantically on the singer's latest song What The Luck. Mika can also be seen putting his hand on the girl's waist. In another reel that had gone viral, Riva is filmed in a bar scene with the Karan Kundrra.
Riva has worked in films like MOM, Uri: The Surgical Strike and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
The Instagram bio of Riva suggests that the page is handled by her mother. Meanwhile, reports claim that the alleged minor had undergone breast augmentation and taking steroids to enhance her body features, induce early puberty. Riva has over 8.3 million followers on Instagram.
