Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A teenage girl and her uncle were attacked on the road after he stopped some men from passing inappropriate comments on her in Gwalior on Monday.

The whole incident was recorded in a video, which is now circulating widely on social media.

In the video, the man can be seen fighting alone against 3-4 boys who held him, beat him with belts and bricks, and hurled abuses at him.

The shocking incident took place on the Gwalior Bypass while the girl was returning home with her uncle after studying at the library.

According to information, four men on bikes started teasing the girl. When her uncle told them to stop, they became aggressive.

The men blocked his bike, dragged him off, and started beating him. They kicked and punched him, hit him with belts, and even picked up bricks from the road to strike him.

The girl tried to help, but they also threw stones at her and her uncle to scare them.

People passing by saw the brutal attack and stopped to help. Some managed to pull the attackers away, while others called the police. One of the attackers was caught on the spot and handed over to the police, while the other three managed to escape.

The video is sparking outrage all over social media.

Police have arrested one man, Raja Shakya, while three others, including Amir, are on the run. Their homes were locked when police went to search for them.

A case has been filed under the POCSO Act, and efforts are on to catch the remaining attackers.

Following the incident, BJP councillor Vijay Sharma praised the police for their action and announced a ₹1,100 reward.

He also demanded that the attackers be publicly paraded as punishment.
