Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An e-rickshaw driver was dragged out of his vehicle and brutally beaten by a passenger over a ₹5 fare in Gwalior on Monday.

The incident was recorded in a video, which is now circulating widely on social media. The fight reportedly started after the driver asked for the full fare.

In the video, the passenger can be seen repeatedly throwing the driver onto the road and kicking him.

According to information, the incident took place at the busy Phoolbagh intersection.

A young man took a ride in the e-rickshaw and got off at Phoolbagh. When he paid ₹5 less than the fare, the driver asked for the remaining amount. This led to an argument, and soon, the passenger became violent.

The man grabbed the driver by the collar, threw him to the ground multiple times, and started kicking him. When the scared driver tried to escape, the attacker chased him and continued to beat him.

A large crowd gathered to watch, but no one stepped in to help. The driver somehow managed to run away to save himself. Meanwhile, passersby recorded the incident and shared it on social media.

After the video went viral, the police are now checking CCTV footage and talking to other e-rickshaw drivers to identify both the victim and the attacker.
