Bhopal (madhya Pradesh): Preparations have been made to torch effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran and Meghnad in the city on Dussehra, which will be celebrated on Tuesday. Prominent places where effigies will be burned are Dussehra Maidan (TT Nagar), Kolar, Bittan Market, BHEL Dussehra Maidan, Chhola Dussehra Maidan.
Governor Mangubhai Patel will be chief guest at effigy burning on Dusshera Maidan in TT Nagar while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend Dussehra function at Chhola Dusshera Maidan.
Hindu Utsav Samiti general secretary Kailash Begwani said, “Procession will be taken out at 2 pm from Bankebihari Mandir and after passing through Godha Nakkas, Ibrahimpura, Unani Safakhana, it will reach Chhola Dussehra Maidan. Effigies will be burnt at 9 pm.”
Elaborate arrangement has been made at Bittan Market, Kolar Dussehra Maidan. Effigies will also be burnt at Satan Singh Pal Chorea (Sapura). Similar functions will be held in Misrod, Ayodhya by-pass. Traffic will be diverted due to celebrations.
