Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old woman passed away while dancing on stage in a wedding ceremony in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district. The incident came to fore through a video widely circulating on social media, on Sunday.
According to information, the deceased has been identified as Parineeta (23), a resident of Indore, who had gone to Vidisha to attend her cousin’s wedding.
The incident is said to occur on Saturday night around 10 pm. A video of the moment surfaced on Sunday, showing Parineeta dancing energetically to a mixed song on stage. As she continued her steps, she suddenly collapsed face-first on the stage.
It is suspected that she suffered a heart attack while dancing, which led to her sudden death on stage.

CPR could not help
The Ladies Sangeet event had started at 9 pm, and the tragedy occurred around 10 pm. Some doctors who were present at the wedding as relatives immediately tried to revive her using CPR, but she showed no response. She was rushed to a private hospital in Vidisha, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
After her death, the wedding rituals were completed in a simple manner during the night. All events scheduled for Sunday were canceled, and since most of her relatives were in Vidisha, her last rites were also performed there.

Parineeta was the daughter of Surendra Kumar Jain, branch head at Swastika Investment Company in Indore, and Bindu Jain. The family lives in South Tukoganj, Indore. This was not the first such tragedy for them— Parineeta’s twin brother had also died of a heart attack at the age of 12 while riding a bicycle. Fondly called Mouni at home, Parineeta had completed her MBA and was working in a private company. She had a passion for dancing and had been preparing for her performance in the wedding for over a month.
