According to information, the incident occurred near the bridge between Barela and Kundam police station areas, close to Salaiya village in the Pariyat river in Jabalpur.
The accident reportedly happened because of the driver’s carelessness while crossing the flooded bridge.
Fortunately, both the truck driver and the conductor managed to save their lives by swimming out of the river.

Continuous heavy rainfall in the district over the past few days has led to a sharp rise in the water levels of rivers, streams, and drains, creating flood-like conditions in many areas.
Roads, bridges, and low-lying regions are facing waterlogging and overflow, making travel risky and increasing the chances of accidents.
Following the truck accident, police officials quickly reached the spot to assess the situation.
They have started a detailed investigation to understand how the incident occurred, whether proper safety measures were in place, and to determine if any negligence was involved.
