Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Realising the potency of street plays in raising awareness about electoral process and the importance of casting vote, among people, street plays were staged at several places across the Sehore city as per the directives of state election commission ahead of urban body election.
These street plays draw the attention of voters from June 28 to July 03, and were staged at various places in the city like Namak Chouraha, New Bus Stand, MPEB Square, Bhopali Phatak, Old Ramdwara, Murli Village, Indranagar, Dussehra Wala Bagh, Ambedkar Park and Ganj.
While performing these street plays, city residents were told about the importance of exercising their franchise. Simultaneously, the importance of voting rights was made aware through street plays. Under voter awareness campaign SENSE, street plays were organised by the Municipality Sehore since the past days and people were made aware by involving them in maximum numbers so that the majority of voters can exercise their franchise in the voting to be held on July 06.
