Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, three women were killed and seven others escaped with injuries when their SUV car rammed into a stationary truck on Indore-Bhopal Highway in Sehore district on Friday, police said.
According to Jawar police, the victims were on their way to a Shiva temple at Kubereshwar Dham in the district after attending a wedding ceremony in Indore.
The accident occurred when the Mahindra SUV car bearing registration number GJ-07-DA-9661 hit the rear of a stationary truck (MH-04-FU-3329) near Jawar.
Kalpana Ballai (48), Nallu Ben (62) and Rekha Ben (70) were killed in the accident and their bodies were sent to the mortuary of Astha civil hospital for the post-mortem examination, Jawar police station in-charge Madan Ivne said.
Nallu Ben and the injured persons belong to Ahmedabad (Gujarat), he said.
The injured persons identified as Hemlata, Jignesh, Dinansh, Jemini, Deepika and Yogini were referred to Sehore district hospital after they were administered first-aid at Ashta town, the official added.
