Sehore: Single use plastic ban; pollution board, municipality run awareness drive

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): June last week is observed as an awareness week which will be followed by action against single use plastic users as per instructions given by MP Pollution Control Board.

According to the instructions of the Government of India, there will be a complete ban on the use, manufacture and sale of single-use plastic from July 01, 2022.

Awareness is being created jointly by MP Pollution Control Board and municipality against sale and use of plastic among stockholders, sellers and users.

Those who violate the rules will be fined under the MP Municipality (User Charges for Water Supply, Sewage and Solid Waste Management Services) Rules 2020.

During the campaign, MP Pollution Control Board officer Salman Khan, sanitation Inspector (Nodal Officer Swachh Bharat Mission) of Sehore Municipality Amit Yadav along with other employees took part.
