Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh): In the heart of Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli, lies Waidhan-- home to India's first and only ambidextrous educational institute, Veena Vadini School.

Veena Vadini was founded by BP Sharma, a former army personnel back in 1999. Sharma was highly inspired by India's first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad's skill of writing with both hands. This school aims to educate children about the skill of ambidexterity.

What is ambidexterity?

Ambidexterity allows people to write with both the hands at the same time. According to the school authorities, students who are ambidextrous hold the ability to write two times faster than the regular school going students.

Moreover, it helps to build concentration and focus. Only 1% of the global population has developed the art of ambidexterity.

Multilingual approach

Ambidexterity is not the only art that this school instills in students. The multilingual approach of teaching students the art of writing with both hands make this school more unique.

Students here can write two different language with both the hands at the same time. The multilingual approach taught these kids 6 different language including Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Spanish, and Arabic.

Veena Vadini's unique perspective caught eyes on social media. With videos going viral, netizens can't stop praising the initiative. Researchers from across the globe visited this school to learn more about ambidexterity.

Over 580 students have graduated from this school till date and are ambidextrous.
