Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that people are distressed under Mamata Banerjee’s rule and claimed that she is no longer seen as ‘Didi’ but has become ‘Appi’, a sentiment he said is being voiced across the country. Yadav was addressing an election rally and participated in the nomination filing of BJP candidates in Bankura, West Bengal.
He alleged that Mamata Banerjee is “bent upon ceding the rights of the Bengali people to Bangladesh”. “Therefore, this election is not merely an election, but a ‘Dharm Yudh’, a righteous battle. In this atmosphere, the mantra of Shri Ram is empowering us all. Today, here in Bengal, the youth, women, the poor and the farmers, everyone has risen in support of change,” he said.
He added that people are fighting to uphold their honour, dignity and pride, and claimed that no force can stop the BJP from coming to power in Bengal.
Yadav said that under Didi’s rule in Bankura district for 15 years, people are migrating to states such as Odisha, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. He alleged that while the youth of Bengal are becoming poorer, “Bangladeshis are growing wealthy”.
He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s global stature is rising. He alleged that infiltrators from Bangladesh are encroaching on rights and said there is no place in Bengal for such elements.
