Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Death of loco pilot in the Railway Hospital in Jabalpur created havoc after the kin of the deceased accused hospital of negligence in treatment saying that the oxygen cylinder used in the primary treatment was empty.
The kin also claimed that the duty personnel were in inebriated state.
Senior Railway officials, RPF and senior doctors reached the spot and assured the kin of strict action against the one found guilty.
When contacted, the Commandant of the case, Arun Tripathi said that the oxygen cylinder has been confiscated.
Blood samples of all the employees who were on duty are being checked if they were in a state of intoxication. A committee is investigating the incident and strict actions will be taken against the authority found guilty, he added.
Notably, on October 19, Atul, who was a loco pilot in Jabalpur, received serious injuries in a road mishap. He was taken for primary treatment to the Metro Hospital from where he was referred to Nagpur. On their way back home from Nagpur, Atul complained of difficulty in breathing so his kin took him to the casualty department of the railway hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
When the family members came to know about the incident, they created a ruckus, making serious allegations of negligence of the duty personnel claiming They staged sit-in demanding strict actions against the senior officers.
