MP higher education department withdraws order for choice filling guest scholars

The higher education department issued an order on October 16 to take left out guest scholars back for teaching but withdrew it within hours.

The state higher education department played truant with guest scholars once again. It issued an order for choice filling by guest scholars only to withdraw within hours.

The higher education department issued an order on October 16 to take left out guest scholars back for teaching but withdrew it within hours. The order issued by additional commissioner Chandrashekhar Walimbe had decided a process for updation of vacant posts by the college principals and then choice filling by guest scholars.

According to order, first three days of the week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were meant for updation of posts by colleges, publication of merit list by directorate, inviting scholars according to merit list and updation at portal.

Second half of the week was scheduled for choice filling by left out guest scholars and updation by directorate college-wise and subject-wise availability of vacant posts. This process was to continue till December and to be extended if required.

Media incharge of guest scholars association Shankarlal Kharvadia said about 900 left out guest scholars are struggling hard to maintain their families’ expenses. Formalities to take back about 744 scholars were done in September but the process was stopped abruptly.
