Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav campaigned in Bankura on Thursday and urged people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He addressed party workers and local residents during the nomination filing of BJP candidates in the district and said that people in the state are ready for political change.

During his speech, Yadav said that Bankura is a historic place associated with great personalities such as Subhas Chandra Bose, Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore and renowned sculptor Ramkinkar Baij.

He said the election campaign has begun and claimed that people are unhappy with the government led by Mamata Banerjee.

He alleged that people in West Bengal are facing many problems under the current government. He claimed that many young people are leaving the state in search of jobs in other states such as Odisha, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. According to him, the youth of Bengal are struggling while illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh are becoming stronger.

Yadav also praised Narendra Modi and said that under his leadership India has become stronger in the world. He said the central government has launched several welfare schemes that have helped poor families by providing houses, food grains and financial support.

Yadav also accused the West Bengal government of corruption, referring to the teacher recruitment scam and alleged irregularities in schemes like the Prime Minister Housing Scheme and MGNREGA.

He said that people of Bengal are now ready to respond through elections and support the BJP.

Speaking to the media later, Yadav said he had come from Madhya Pradesh to support five BJP candidates filing their nominations in Bankura.

He said the enthusiasm among party workers and supporters clearly shows that the BJP is gaining support in the state and expressed confidence that the party will form the government in West Bengal.
