Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will conduct Class 10 and 12 board exams from February 24.

Special facilities will be provided for disabled students appearing for the exams.

They will be allowed to bring a writer with them and will also have the option to use a computer or typewriter.

Schools must submit details of such students to MPBSE by February 15. Additionally, these students will receive an extra one hour during the three-hour exam. The board has already issued guidelines regarding these provisions.

A total of 21 types of disabilities have been included under these special facilities.

This includes visually impaired students, those with weak mental abilities, students unable to write due to a fractured or impaired hand, and those suffering from thalassemia or sickle cell disease, among others.

For practical exams, disabled students will be evaluated based on multiple-choice questions.

These questions will be prepared by external evaluators.

Meanwhile, students who secured a place in the merit list will soon receive financial aid for purchasing laptops.

The School Education Department has started preparations for this.
