Morena: Silent march to seek death penalty for tailor’s killers

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Scores of people, agitated by the gruesome broad daylight beheading of Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan by two assailants, on Saturday took out a silent march and submitted a memorandum to the district administration addressed to President demanding death penalty for the accused.

The protesters have warned that if the government would not take action quickly, they would launch a nationwide agitation. The silent march started from Ramjanaki temple in Jiwajiganj, in which locals also took part with placards in their hands and reached the district collectorate office via passing through main roads of the city.

All the protesters taking part in the procession mourned the killing of Kanhaiya Lal by wearing black bands. They demanded that the killers be hanged publicly. No person has the right to take law in his hands.

Hundreds of people including Omkar Rajput, Praveen Verma, Sandeep Mishra, Bunty Dandotia, Dr. Manish Sharma, Girish Garg, Awadhesh Gupta, Ramsevak Rathore, Devendra Rathore, Lokendra Dandotia, Girraj Argal, Saurabh Sharma and Dharmendra Shyam took part in the procession.
