Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A man was booked for allegedly raping his live-in partner on the pretext of marriage, impregnating her, and abandoning her and their 1.5-year-old daughter in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur.
The 26-year-old woman approached the police station and filed a complaint against her partner when he did not return for days.
Accused abandons her following frequent fights
According to the woman, she met the accused about two and a half years ago. The duo became friends and gradually grew close to each other. During this time, the accused sexually exploited her under the false promise of marriage and even convinced her to live with him.
Eventually, the woman became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter 18 months ago. However, in recent months, he began to fight with her, and about a month ago, he abandoned them and disappeared without any discussion or information.

The woman waited for him to return but after testing her patience for days, she approached the Murar police and filed a complaint against him.
An FIR has been registered, and police are searching for the accused, who is still at large. Police have started search to nab him.
The woman has demanded justice for herself and her daughter.
