Madhya Pradesh: Gold Ornaments Worth Over Rs 38 Lakh Confiscated

During the checking, the team members found a man moving around the bus station premises under suspicious circumstances.

Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): The city police claimed to have confiscated gold ornaments worth over Rs 38 lakh. A team, set up by the police station in-charge of Itarsi Gaurav Singh Bundela together with the Flying Squad Team (FST), checked the premises of Itarsi bus stand.

During the checking, the team members found a man moving around the bus station premises under suspicious circumstances. When the police searched him, they found gold jewellery worth over Rs 38 lakh in his possession.

The man identified himself as Rambabu, resident of Vinayak Valley in Karond (Hujur), Bhopal. When the police asked him to show any documents for carrying gold ornaments, he could not show any paper.

So, the police and SFT confiscated the ornaments. The Itarsi police launched a drive against drug peddlers and liquor manufacturers. The action was taken following instructions of superintendent of police Gurkaran Singh.
