Bhopal railway division earns 4.8% more revenue from ticket checking in June

West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, conducts intensive checking of passengers travelling without tickets/improper tickets and unbooked luggage

BHOPAL (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Division earned 4.87 per cent more revenue from ticket checking in June 2022 by earning Rs.07.05 crore as compared to the same month last year.

In the month of June 2022, on West Central Railway, Bhopal division, conducted intensive checking of passengers traveling without ticket/improper ticket and unbooked luggage by ticket checking staff, according to Railways officials.

During the ticket checking done by the ticket checking staff in the month of June 2022, 103888 cases of passengers traveling without ticket, improper ticket and unbooked luggage were caught. Rs 7,05,10,570/- including fare and fine was recovered.

This is an increase of Rs.32,73,200/- (4.87%) from Rs.6,72,37,370/- revenue received from 95025 cases detected in the corresponding period of last year (June 2021).

This is the second highest ever income made by the board from ticket checking. Earlier in the month of May 2022, the highest income of Rs 7,49,82,250/- was earned by the board from ticket checking, Railways officials added.
