Exit Polls: BJP gung-ho, Congress dismissive

BHOPAL: With most exit polls predicting another term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the political leaders took to social media jotting down their comments and reactions on the predictions.

As the BJP leaders was gung-ho as results of various exit polls predicted the return of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the centre, the leaders of the ruling Congress rubbished the predictions saying that everything will be clear on May 23. The counting of votes is slated for May 23.

Stating that Exit Polls have correctly brought to fore the choice of voters in the country,former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan talking to media said that Modi Magic is prevailing and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again form the government.

Dismissive of the exit poll predictions, the Chief Minister Kamal Nath tweeted ‘We had seen many Exit Polls, the predictions made during 2004 and those in the recently concluded election of 2018 had predicted Congress defeat, but the result is before everyone.” “Just wait for May 23, all the truth will come out, the Congress will surly going to increase its seats and the truth of Jumla will also come out,” his tweet read.

Youth welfare minister Jitu Patwari rubbish the poll predictions, he tweeted, “The truth of Exit Poll is just like talks of Modi”. LoP Gopal Bhargava tweeted ‘It was all known that the BJP is forming the government and today the Exit Polls and all the news channels have certified that there is no alternate to Narendra Modi’.
