Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 40-year-old painting contractor hanged himself to death in Bhopal on Sunday.
The man, who was reportedly drunk, used a bedsheet to hang himself.
According to information, the incident took place in Bhim Nagar area. The man was identified as Dalchand Yadav, died by suicide by hanging himself late on Saturday night.
At the time of the incident, he was alone at home as his family members had gone to attend Janmashtami celebrations in the neighborhood.

According to police, Dalchand lived near the Bhim Nagar hostel and worked as a whitewash contractor.
On Saturday night, he used a bedsheet to hang himself inside the house. After the Janmashtami puja, his daughter returned home around midnight to call him for the celebration but was shocked to find him hanging.
She immediately informed her uncle, Rakesh, who took down the body and called the police.
The body was sent for postmortem and handed over to the family on Sunday afternoon.
Rakesh told police that earlier in the evening, he and his brother had received a payment for work and celebrated with drinks together before returning home. He said Dalchand did not mention any problem or share anything unusual before his death.

No suicide note found
Police said no suicide note was found from the room, nor did Dalchand make any call or message before the incident.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation. Detailed family statements will be recorded soon to find the reason behind the suicide.
