Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): High Court, principal bench of Jabalpur has issued its order in the nursing scam. The CBI will now scan files related to its probe and the state government will cooperate with the Central investigative agency regarding this.
The High Court has ordered the state to cooperate with CBI in scanning all files related to the investigation of nursing colleges and provide a copy to the petitioner. The division bench of Justice Atul Shridharan and Justice Anuradha Shukla passed the order after hearing the PIL filed by Law Students Association President Vishal Baghel alleging irregularities in recognition of nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
The CBI had filed an application and informed the court that it has more than 1 lakh documents of 800 colleges. The CBI does not have resource and manpower to scan such a large number of documents and there is a possibility of data misuse if it is provided. Therefore, the data cannot be scanned and provided.

In response to this, the petitioner cited the example of Sendhwa Nursing College, which was found suitable twice in CBI investigation and said that the mark sheets of the faculty of the college are fake.
It however did not become a deterrent for the college to obtain a clean chit from the CBI. When the CBI objected to the argument, the petitioner showed the fake mark sheet uploaded on the Nursing Council portal in the court hearing.
The judges also downloaded the fake mark sheet and expressed surprise on this. In Thursday's hearing, the petitioner again demanded data from the CBI and the court was told that it is not possible to present its side without seeing records related to colleges which have been declared suitable in the CBI investigation.
