In Indergarh, the situation became so serious that boats were the only way to move around.
A similar scene was witnessed in Aman Colony of Datia city, where rainwater entered homes, causing major inconvenience to the residents. With more rain expected, the situation remains concerning across several low-lying areas.
The biggest problem is the overflowing of the local Karan Sagar pond. Its walls broke due to excess water, and now pond water is flowing on the roads. This has made it very difficult for people to step out of their homes.
Although the local administration is monitoring low-lying areas and keeping an eye on the situation, their arrangements are falling short. People are trying to reach out to the government and administration using boats, highlighting their problems.
In Sevda block’s Indergarh tehsil, many localities have been affected. Ward number 11 of Indergarh is badly flooded. People were seen rowing boats inside the ward due to no proper drainage system.
Locals are demanding quick help and permanent solutions to the problem of waterlogging and drainage. For now, everyone is just hoping that the rain stops soon and the situation comes under control.
