Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Youth leader and social activist Abhishek Panwar from Bhopal spoke at the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum 2025- JWF side-event, “Youth Voices Driving Innovation for Quality Education, Social Inclusion, and Sustainable Development.”

Panwar emphasised the role of youth as co-creators of global partnerships. Highlighting India’s demographic strength, with over 50% of its population under 25, he showcased the nation’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 100 unicorns tackling global challenges in healthcare, fintech, and climate tech. He also celebrated India’s contributions through ISRO, which has launched over 430 satellites for 34 countries, advancing development in agriculture, education, and disaster management.

Drawing inspiration from figures like Buddha, Swami Vivekananda, and Malala Yousafzai, Panwar called for inclusive partnerships that amplify diverse voices, from tribal athletes in Ghana to first-generation innovators in the Philippines. He urged youth to shape policy frameworks in climate action, gender equality, digital transformation, and peacebuilding, stating, “We are not the leaders of tomorrow—we are the partners of today.”

Abhishek Panwar is a dedicated advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has represented India at global platforms like COY19 in Azerbaijan (2024) and COY18 in Dubai (2023). As convener of Chetna Atal Yuva Mandal and coordinator of Nek Karya Seva Samiti, he collaborates with organizations to promote climate education and inclusive policy making. Affiliated with YOUNGO, the Global Youth Biodiversity Network, and the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization, Panwar inspires youth leadership in climate solutions and policy advocacy.

His ECOSOC address reaffirmed his commitment to placing youth at the heart of global partnerships for innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development.
