BHOPAL: Examination for final year students of undergraduate courses from Barkatullah University will begin on Friday. The exams are being held on an open book pattern in which over one lakh students are expected to take exams.
The UG courses including BA, BSc, BCom, BSC home science, BA management, BBA and BCom honours will be held through an open book pattern. Question papers of all these courses will be uploaded on the portal of BU at 8 AM on Friday.
Students can download the question papers from the portal, write the answer copies and submit by June 19 at the prescribed collection centres. The university has made proper arrangements for collection of copies.
SMS will be sent to students on their registered mobile numbers. The SMS will provide all information related to exams and submission of answer copies. BU has made 357 exam centres also at the colleges where answer copies would be collected on 24 and 25 June.
BU officials said that the results will be declared in the last week of July.
BU has also uploaded a performa on its website that needs to be pasted on the covering page of answer copies. This consists of details of the students besides having information that will be helpful in sorting of copies for evaluation.
Control room for exams
Colleges affiliated with the BU are spread across 8 districts therefore a control room has been made consisting of 8 officers. Dr Pawan Mishra has been made the incharge of the control room. Shashank Shekhar, Neeta Mishra, Lakhan Singh Parmar, Munna lal Kushwaha, Umesh Chandra Jha, Vishnu Prasad and Dilip Giri also have been deputed at the control room from 10 AM to 6 PM. †Students can call the control room at these numbers 0755-2517088, 0755-2517100 and 9589879771 for any kind of help or guidance.
