BHOPAL: The tug-of-war for ticket on Bhopal Lok Sabha seat within Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun. Ex-minister Umashankar Gupta on Tuesday called on the ex-Chief Minister Babulal Gaur at his house to discuss about the selection of candidate for Bhopal seat. Both Gaur and Gupta are contenders for ticket from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat. Gupta in his meeting with Gaur claimed that his demand was to giving ticket to local person. Gupta said he was ready to contest if the party gives him a chance.
MP Alok Sanjar and mayor Alok Sharma are also eyeing the ticket. Some BJP leaders in Bhopal also maintain that some outsider may be fielded from Bhopal. The local leaders, sensing this possibility, have begun making claims. Meanwhile, Gaur said that he wishes to see Delhi this time..
