Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Two company officials have been booked for committing fraud with the pharmacy company they work for, Piplani police said here on Wednesday.
Police station in-charge Ajay Nair, told media that a complaint was filed in which it was alleged that the two accused Sumit Rosarkar and Shahrukh Khan had not deposited an amount of Rs 2.75 lakh.
Ayush Udenia, the owner of the company had filed a complaint with the police.
The accused used to sell products to chemists and take the amount. The two wilfully deposited a part of the amount in the company’s account and the rest they kept with themselves.
But recently one of the chemists approached the company to check his account. To his dismay, he found that though he had deposited more money, the company accounts reflected a huge difference.
The authorities conducted a secret inquiry and found that the two had siphoned off more than Rs 2.75 lakh of company money.
The police have registered a case under section 406 and 408 of the IPC and have started investigation.
