BHOPAL: The government has decided to give Rs14,500 crore for power subsidy being given to consumers. A major amount of the funds provided in 2020-21 is meant for giving subsidy to farmers. Along with this, funds have been released under the Grih Jyoti Yojana. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
The Cabinet also decided to increase paddy milling cost from Rs50 to Rs200. Nearly 3,726,000 MT of paddy was procured in 2020-í21. It was also decided that a policy would be formulated for utility of rice in the private sector and for making ethanol.
The Cabinet also decided that street vendors, who have suffered a huge loss because of Covid-19, would be given Rs1,000.
The Cabinet also approved the Chief Ministerís ëspecial cash package schemeí and ëspecial festival advance schemeí for employees of the state government. The chief minister issued orders on November 28 and December 14 last year.
CM's one-to-one meet with ministers from June 17
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hold one-to-one meetings with his ministers from June 17. Chouhan has also asked the ministers to hold meetings with sub-committee members to resolve various issues. After that, discussions would be held with the ministers, he said.
