Bhopal Railway Division Generates ₹160 Crore Passenger Revenue In Two Months

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Division has earned passenger revenue over ₹160 crore during the first two months of the financial year 2025-26 – April and May 2025, due to continuous expansion of passenger services and efficiency in operation.

During this period, the division earned a total originating revenue of ₹160.25 crore from 70.59 lakh passengers in both reserved and unreserved categories.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria said that Bhopal Division has implemented many schemes giving priority to the facilities of passengers, which have yielded positive results.

The increasing number of passengers and revenue growth are proof of the planned strategies of the division.

Major initiatives

The major initiatives taken to increase passenger traffic in Bhopal division include: Running of special trains for the convenience of passengers during rush hours, Extension of operating period of trains with high demand, Initiative to reduce waiting list by adding additional coaches in trains, Extension of duration of experimental halts at selected stations, Increase in speed of trains and improvement in punctuality by increasing the pace of infrastructure improvement works.
