Bhopal: Official booked for thrashing wife for refusing money

BHOPAL: Police have booked an additional district prosecution officer (ADPO) for beating up his wife for refusing to give him money to buy farmhouse. The complainant Sunanda Kumahre works as steno in Satpura Bhawan here.

In her complaint the woman stated that her husband Rameshwar Kumahre, who works in Raisen, was seeking money from her to buy a farm house there, said Awadhpuri SHO Mangilal Bhati. On Sunday Kumahre again demanded money from his wife and when she refused, he bashed her up, said Bhati.

Sunanda told police that her husband was abusive and violent, but on Sinday when he thrashed her she decided to approach police. An FIR under Sections 294, 323 and 506 has been registered against Kumare, who will be now questioned, said Bhati.
