Bhopal: National human rights body demands action against Shajapur additional collector for thrashing youth

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations has filed a complaint against the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Shajapur for beating a youth publicly for opening his shop during corona curfew.

The complaint has been sent to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Central government and other concerned departments.

Federation general secretary Vasid Khan Shajapur ADM Manjushah Vikrant Rai, citing violation of corona curfew, lost temper and slapped him. “This is against human value and has tarnished the image of administration. It is a clear violation of human rights,” he said.

The NCHRO has demanded legal action against the officer.
