BHOPAL: Amid rising cases of dengue in the state and alleged negligence of civic body to destroy mosquito larvae, Congress MLA Arif Masood sprayed disinfectants and chemicals in his assembly area here on Monday.
Masood and his team sprayed insecticides in old Bhopal area and advised residents to take all the preventive measures to keep diseases at bay.
Masood went on spraying around the religious places and school buildings. He said the civic body has neglected its work and there is threat of vector-borne disease spreading all around.
He said Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has forgotten to sanitise city. He said his act is to shake conscience of administrative officials. The team led by the MLA reached temples, mosques and schools in Itwara, Budhwara, Talaiya and other areas during the drive.
