Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man hacked his sister-in-law to death over her alleged relationship with another man in Nazeerabad. The incident occurred in Mazeedgarh village under Nazeerabad police station in Berasia tehsil of Bhopal district. Police have arrested accused Suneel Ahirwar on complaint of his wife Dhapubai.

She told police that her husband Suneel doubted Kedarbai’s character as she would often speak to a man in Bangaluru on phone. She told police that Kedarbai and her husband Ramesh Ahirwar worked in Bangaluru and they returned to Bhopal during lockdown last year.

Nazeerabad police station incharge BP Singh said the accused would often scold the woman that her act was causing embarrassment to their family. On Thursday evening, it led to a spat between them and Suneel hit her with an axe several times.

She was taken to hospital where she died during treatment at night, said Singh.
