Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): State medical education minister Vishvas Sarang on Friday said striking junior doctors should not disrespect High Court, which had instructed them to resume duty within 24 hours.

“I called JUDA (Junior Doctors’ Association) six times for meeting. But they are blackmailing government by disobeying government as well as the High Court,” he said.

The junior doctors had tendered mass resignation even after High Court’s instruction to resume duty within 24 hours.

State medical education commissioner Nishant Warbade had said that government is ready for hike of 17 per cent of stipend and order will be released soon. But JUDA is adamant on getting 24 per cent hike in stipend and annual hike at rate of 6 per cent.
