BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the number of cases has fallen, but the corona curfew will be in place till June 15. Chouhan made the statement at a press conference in Bhopal on Saturday. The administration will continue to give relaxations, but the corona curfew cannot be totally lifted at one go, he added.

The chief minister said the government had wanted that Covid-19 should be under control, but, at the same time, people should not lose their livelihood. So, efforts were being made towards this direction, he further said.

According to him, the infection rate has come down to 0.8%. When the infection rate is below 5%, it is considered that the disease is under control; however restrictions would be there, he said. The number of cases is still high in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur, so it was necessary to watch the situation to keep the virus under control, he said.

Chouhan said that he had directed the members of the crisis management committees in urban and rural areas to work continuously. They had been told to identify the patients and, if necessary, take them to Covid Care Centres, he said.
