Bhopal Gears Up For Global Investors Summit: Medical Teams Deployed For Emergency Preparedness

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In preparation for the upcoming Global Investors Summit, scheduled, Bhopal Collector has appointed coordinators, medical coordinators, nodal officers, and a reserve team to ensure smooth medical arrangements. Medical coordinators will be stationed at 61 designated locations, including hotels, the tent city, and all four parking areas, to cater to guests' healthcare needs.

Dr Manoj Hurmade, District Health Officer-2, has been designated as the Nodal Officer for overall coordination, while Dr Rajendra Sudhar from Jaiprakash Hospital will oversee medical arrangements as the Clinical Nodal Officer, assisted by Prahlad Prajapati and Jonachan Singh.

Additionally, Awadhesh Arajaria has been appointed as the Coordinator for ambulance arrangements, with Vivek Dubey as his assistant. A reserve team of six officers has also been assigned to handle emergencies. The notification outlines key instructions for ensuring medical preparedness. All hospitals, including final and contingency hospitals, must check and ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment, ambulances, and power backup systems by February 20. Adequate doctors, paramedics, support staff, life-saving equipment, and medicines must be available in all medical facilities.

Officials on duty are required to stay in contact with the Executive Magistrate, police officers, and venue managers. In case of medical emergencies, contingency hospitals will stabilize patients before referring them to the final hospital. Furthermore, Jai Prakash Hospital’s Civil Surgeon will keep a team of medical experts on standby from February 23 to 25, ready for deployment in emergencies. The reserve team will remain in coordination with Dr Manoj Hurmade at the Chief Medical Officer’s office, ensuring a well-organized medical response for the event.
