BHOPAL: More than 15 Covid-19 cases have been reported from four districts in the state. There have been 246 new cases in Indore, 176 in Bhopal, 64 in Jabalpur and 18 in Sagar. The weekly positivity rate in Indore is 4.4%, in Bhopal 3.4%, in Jabalpur 1.6% and in Sagar 1.1%. There are 5,006 patients in hospitals across the state and in 7,883 in home isolation.
Out of 5,006 patients admitted to hospitals, 1,834 are in the ICU, 2,011 are on oxygen-supported beds and 1,161 on general beds.
These figures came up at a video-conference that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held at Mantralaya on Friday to review the situation arising out of the corona pandemic. Chouhan said that enough quantity of Amphotericin-B vials used to treat black fungal infection were available in the state. These vials are being given to the government hospitals and the private health centres, he added.
According to him, full attention is being to the post-Covid-19 patients who are regularly getting medical advice from government doctors. He further said that each patient of Covid-19 was being identified and treated, so the number of testing had gone up to 80,000 daily.
Chouhan said that 12,600 units of Amphotericin-B had been brought by air, and 17,000 units would be available in two days.
Chief secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and additional chief secretary of health Mohd Suleman were present at the video-conference.
235 black fungus patients in Bhopal
There are 235 black fungus patients in Bhopal, 428 in Indore, 116 in Jabalpur, 40 in Sagar, 85 in Ujjain, 52 in Gwalior, 31 in Rewa, 15 in Dewas, 2 in Ratlam and 1 in Burhanpur.
32 districts in Green zone
There are 32 districts under the Green zone, where the weekly positivity rate is lower than 1%. In all other districts, the number of positive cases is between 1% and 5%.
