Vidhisha (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal - Delhi Shatabdi Express was targeted again-- second time in four days. Some miscreants pelted stones on the passing train near Mandi Bamora station in Vidisha on Wednesday.

The attack shattered the window glass of the C-4 coach. Vidisha RPF has registered a case of stone pelting and initiated a probe.

Complaint lodged at Bina station

According to passengers, the window glass of coach C-4 was shattered with a loud sound. The passengers immediately informed the train staff. The staff informed the control room and RPF. A complaint was lodged in this matter at Bina station.

No Passenger injured

When the train reached Bina station, Sub Inspector Dharmendra and Assistant Sub Inspector Kanchan Kumar inspected the C-4 coach. Manish Kumar Dubey, the deputy train supervisor posted in the coach, said that the sound of breaking window glass was heard near berth numbers 40, 41, 42, 50, 51, 52. On enquiry, no passenger was injured. The train left Kalhar station at 16:57 and Mandi Bamora station at 17:05.

Shockingly, this is the fourth incident in the last one week. Earlier, the Shatabdi Express was attacked near Rairu station in Gwalior on Sunday night. Similar incidents have also happened on Sonagiri and Vande Bharat trains of Datia.

Bhopal–New Delhi Shatabdi pelted on Sunday

A similar incident was reported on Sunday evening, when some miscreants pelted stones on Bhopal–New Delhi Shatabdi near Gwalior. The stones vandalised train's glass windows, creating stir in the coach.

Stone pelted on MEMU train

A similar incident was reported on April 24, when a few miscreants pelted stones on a MEMU train travellers from Gwalior to Jaura, vandalising the front glass of the engine.

Since the train had already departed, it was decided that the rake would be replaced after returning from Jaura. Following which, the rake of the MEMU train operating between Gwalior and Etawah was sent to Jaura.
