BHOPAL: Government employees are coming under a common umbrella pressing their pending demands. Now, the professors have demanded release of the pending Dearness Allowance and salary increments.
The State Government Collegiate Education Professorsí Association has written a letter to heads of all government employeesí organizations. The letter says that according to experts, corona pandemic is not going to end for several years. Therefore the government should not keep the demands of its employees pending.
ìCentral government has announced the release of arrears of hiked DA besides the salary increments. State government is also preparing to increase the salary and allowances of the MLAs,î said state president of the association, Kailash Tyagi.
Government should not keep such sensitive issues pending as medical experts have already given their opinion that corona is going to stay for long.
The president of professors association, Tyagi has urged other employee organizations to demonstrate employeeís unity and prepare a strategy to press demands before the state government.
ëEither all the organizations should call for a protest or remain prepared to keep working without increment and increase in the dearness allowance,í said the letter addressed to government employee organizations.
The state government had held the increment in salaries of government employees citing financial restraints due to corona pandemic.
The Laghu Vetan Karamchari Sangh, under its preplanned programme handed memorandum of same demands to collectors of all districts on Monday.
Several other employee organizations have also urged the state government to release the arrears of their DA and salary increment else they would have to resort to protest.
