Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Colleges across the state will run a special awareness campaign to update students about scholarships. The decision was taken after taking lessons from a previous academic session in which large numbers of complaints were filed by students for not getting scholarships.

A meeting of senior officials of the higher education department was held on Friday and it came to the fore that even the smallest mistake while filling the form could lead to discrepancy in allotment of scholarship, said an official.

Students need to take special care when they fill the form for scholarships about their caste, income and other details. As the process is computerised, one wrong entry can make a student ineligible for admission.

The students have been asked to be careful while filling the form. They can take help from the college staff members.
