Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a massive road show amid rain in the city on Saturday and sought votes for the party candidates in the upcoming urban body elections.

Chouhan started his mega roadshow from Govindpura assembly constituency and all the ward candidates were also present on the occasion.

CM Chouhan reached Misrod along with MLA Krishna Gaur and BJP Mayoral candidate Malti Rai around 10:30 am on Saturday and addressed a public gathering.

He said, “All the necessary civic amenities including bridges, culverts, roads, parks will be developed in Misrod. Along with this, schemes of poor welfare which includes free ration, pucca houses, etc will also be given.”

“I have freed 21,000 acres of land from the possession of land mafias, which will be used for the welfare of the poor. Only BJP can do the work of poor welfare and development,” he added.

After the program, Chouhan started the roadshow. He embarked on a roadshow from Govindpura and ended it in Bhanpur locality. The roadshow was of around 20 kilometres and around 18 candidates rode on the campaign chariot from different places on the occasion.

During the roadshow, a sudden rainfall started at Hoshangabad road area but Chouhan continued the roadshow amid rain. He interacted with the public and sought votes for the party candidates.

If there will be a BJP candidate in the ward and the mayor will also be of the BJP, then there will be no problem in any work. Development will get faster, Chouhan added.
