Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The special task force investigating the fake caste certificate case, in which people had got jobs by using fake Scheduled Tribe caste certificates, had received 40 more names of people who used fake certificates, said officials here on Wednesday.
The STF has exposed the names of the 25 government officials, who are doctors, professors, police constables, revenue officers and posted on other ranks and had used the fake caste certificates.
SP Rajesh Bhadoria informed that during the investigations, it was found that the accused belonged to the ST community, but they had used the fake certificates in place of the original papers.
He added that till now that the police had got 40 more names from across the state, in which the certificates of Scheduled Caste were also used.
He added that the police were focusing on the racketeers providing the certificates. These people were also changing the reports of the verification done by the appointing authority.
He said that those department officials who had ignored the reports given by the Tehsildar or SDM office about the fake certificate were also involved.
