Betul (Madhya Pradesh): Yoga learners are learning many yoga asans (postures) including Shankha Prakshalana under the guidance of senior yoga instructor Roshan Moukhede at Agrasen Maharaj Yoga Centre in Vinoba Nagar in Betul district.
Director of the Yoga Centre, Anil Rathore said that regular classes were being conducted in the Yoga Centre from 6 am to 7 am. In which first of all the yoga practitioner performs Nasal Cleansing Yoga (Jala Neti kriya Jalniti and Kunjal Kriya. After that yogasana and other activities are started. Shankh Prakshalana is the only such yogasan, which cleanses the digestive track including stomach and intestine. It expels stomach worms and amoeba growing in the intestines and rejuvenates the digestive system by secreting the digestive juices.
It removes Vata dosha, Pitta dosha, Kapha dosha. It also removes the bad smell coming from the mouth. After Shankh Prakshalana, additional benefits can be achieved in asana like pranayama, mudra, bandha and meditation.
The use of milk and milk-based ingredients, spices, sour and rich food is prohibited for a week to feel the benefits of Shankh Prakshalana. Before and after the Shankh Prakshalana, one must do Kunjalkriya and Jalneti to cleanse the mouth, abdominal region and the nose. If the above method and precautions are followed, then the weight of people suffering from obesity can be reduced by 3 to 4 kg within a week.
