BHOPAL: The Regional Transport Office has instructed the automobile dealers to ensure sale of vehicles as per provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. Violation of the provisions would lead to cancellation of their business certificates.
All automobile dealers have been instructed to deliver vehicles to the buyers only after getting their vehicles registered. It has come to notice of the RTO that vehicle dealers take money from the buyers but, instead of depositing it with the RTO, use it for some other works, which comes under criminal offence related to revenue. The buyers are being handed over vehicles by the sellers without depositing fee and vehicle tax, which is a clear cut violation of the provisions. During checking, new vehicles were found plying on the road without their registration.
