Chitrakoot (Madhya Pradesh): Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, a revered spiritual leader, made a controversial statement during a seminar at the Divyang University in Chitrakoot. Speaking on the Indian Justice Code 2023, he claimed that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar lacked knowledge of Sanskrit. He stated that had “Ambedkar known Sanskrit, he would not have attempted to burn the Manusmriti.”
Rambhadracharya further remarked that criticizing Manusmriti began with Mayawati, who, according to him, was unaware of its actual content. He asserted that none of the 2,900 verses in the ancient text were written against nation-building.
According to information, the event was organized by the Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies Institute at the university. Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman Kunwar Manvendra Singh and several state assembly members were present.
